Floyd Valley Senior Living

Post member Julie Paulsen and her husband Jack entertained residents at Floyd Valley Senior Living in Sgt Bluff on July 3rd.  Jack played his guitar and sang a whole variety of patriotic songs.  They handed out flags and coins to the veterans. 

Julie stated, "Neither Jack nor I had never been hugged so much.  One man tonight, that I went up to cried.  His Dad served in WW 2 and his brother in Korea.  The Army and Navy turned him away because of asthma so he went to Chicago to work for the USO.  I figured he deserved a coin." 

Julie is one of our members, her and her husband visit nursing homes on the side, on their own. We are grateful for all they do!
